Wah, really sympathise with you, sometimes such drivers like to do such reckless stunts and endanger everyone on the road. But glad you are ok because it could have been worse. Think very difficult to proof the van did hit you unless you have witness who are willing to testify for you, otherwise very difficult. If the damage to your vehicle is slight, ie cosmetic, you might find that it would be more viable to repair the damage at outside workshop instead of claiming own insurance, as premium will be affected.
However you mention that you dont have the car, so presumably in the workshop, care to share with us the extent of your damages?

haiya, with increasing number of vehicles on the road, chances of bumping around will also increase.
just wondering, since it was a cabstar which i believe is a lorry, a car can easily give chase till it comes to a stop? did you try and lose the lorry or didn't even chase?
also, any experienced drivers here to give advice on what to do during such incident?

such things happen, lan lan report to police that's all. the police won't give a damn too i think. and its kinda funny that TS's dad's car can't chase the cabstar. too scared or shaken to chase it? seriously, even a 1.3L car can chase down the cabstar with a little bit of guts.
since you talk about LL, then what you aim to achieve when you catch up with the taxi? show who fist is bigger??

the cabstar refers to the Nissan Cabstar which is a lorry, and not literally a CABstar as in taxi. The taxis in singapore which are nissan is probably the Nissan Cedric.

it was on th flyover above the train station place so speed limit was 50....which my dad followed, after the bump we slowed at the road side to check for damage etc cos family was on board, chasing would be useless and dangerous as infront was eway, the casino construction there
and since it was road rage, even if i can stop the lorry i doubt it will be resolved civily

maybe you can take photos then get the police down as well and settle on the spot.
if he leaves, at least you have photos.
